S Models

Audi S Models take performance to the next level. With features such as quattro® all wheel drive, Audi FSI and TFSI technology, each S Model possesses additional power and handling prowess.

Audi adds exhilarating performance, intelligent efficiency technologies, and exclusive "S" design cues to each vehicle in the S Model line-up. Below is a brief overview of each So model currently available.

2013 Audi S4

CAR and DRIVER's "Best in Test"

To be the CAR and DRIVER "Best in Test" you have to outperform the competition, and do it flawlessly. The S4 did just that against the BMW 335i in a recent comparison test. With its 333hp, 325 lb-ft. of torque, 3.0T supercharged V6, quattro® with available Sport Rear Differential, and its responsive and lightweight S tuned five-link aluminum suspension, the S4 came out on top across the board.
quattro® with Available Sport Rear Differential

Permanent all-wheel drive systems are not created equal. And they certainly don't perform that way, either. quattro is essentially a mechanical system devised around a torque-sensing, self-locking, center differential that shifts torque instantaneously to where it's needed. This means quattro is adjusting power between front and rear axles more than 100 times a second, helping ensure torque is delivered to the wheels where traction exists. Under normal driving situations, quattro distributes the power between each axle by sending 40 percent to the front wheels and 60 percent to the rear wheels, enhancing the driving dynamics while helping maintain optimum control. Constantly assessing grip, quattro ensures the best possible combination of traction and handling, regardless of the road conditions.

quattro with Sport Rear Differential additionally senses which rear wheel to deliver an optimum level of torque. Specifically, it directs most of the power to the outer rear wheel to help steer the car through the corner. This reduces understeer, common among other all-wheel drive systems, and creates the true sportscar handling found in an Audi. Not to mention, a 0 to 60 time of 4.9 seconds

4.9 Second 0 to 60 MPH Time

Utilizing a combination of supercharging, quattro® all-wheel drive with Sport Rear Differential and TFSI® technology, the S4 sprints to 60 MPH in a mere 4.9 seconds.
333hp 3.0 T Supercharged V6

The Audi 3.0 liter TFSI® engine has been named one of Ward's "10 Best Engines" in its first year of production. The 3.0 liter, all-aluminum V6 benefits from the combination of FSI direct injection and supercharging to create 333hp and 325 lb-ft. of torque. The impressive torque is generated over a wide range, from 2900 to 5300 RPM, making full power usable at any speed. The four-vane Roots-style supercharger makes the 3.0 liter V6 exceptional. The potent combination of FSI with supercharging allows Audi to achieve V8 power and torque with the efficiency of a V6.
S tronic® Dual Clutch Transmission

The S tronic dual-clutch transmission offers the function of two clutches that operate independently. One clutch controls the odd gears (first, third, fifth and reverse), while the other controls the even gears (second, fourth and sixth). While the first clutch is transmitting the power, the second clutch is poised to engage the next gear. When you shift, the first clutch is released and the second engages, so that the gear shift takes place in as fast as .2 seconds.

This innovative design allows gears to be changed without interrupting the power flow from the engine to the transmission. For you it means lightning-fast gear changes and keeping the power where you want it; at the wheels.

2013 Audi S5

quattro® with Available Sport Rear Differential

4.2 liter FSI® V8 Engine

The Audi 4.2 liter FSI® V8 produces a remarkable 354hp and 325 lb-ft. of torque, the 4.2 FSI incorporates many of the same fuelsaving technologies found in the 2.0 TFSI, such as direct injection. The combined effect is an engine that delivers leading power and fuel economy of up to 24 MPG highway. The use of the lightweight material not only increases the overall efficiency but also improves handling dynamics.

Performance-tuned S5 Suspension

The S5 suspension has been specially designed with a lower stance, a higher spring rate and thicker sway bars to prevent body roll. With the finely tuned front-suspension components secured to the subframe, the five-link front suspension increases ride quality by isolating road harshness and vibration from the cabin. The use of weightsaving aluminum for critical components helps reduce unsprung mass at each wheel, allowing the suspension to respond more rapidly. The net effect is a driving experience that is extremely responsive, smooth and predictable. It is handling that has become an Audi hallmark.

2013 Audi TTS

Exclusive Design Elements?

Along with its long list of admirable performance traits, the Audi TTS also delivers when it comes to design. Its muscular proportions, wide stance and dramatic lines are accentuated by a number of distinctive design elements. At the front is the iconic S model Singleframe® grille with Aluminum Optic double-blade crossbars and a TTS badge. The look continues with the unique front and rear bumpers, prominent rocker panels and striking Aluminum Optic mirror housings.

At the front of the TTS is the iconic S model Platinum Gray Singleframe® grille. The look is further enhanced with Aluminum Optic double-blade crossbars and a TTS badge.

4.9 Second 0 to 60 Time with a Top Speed of 155 MPH

With specially designed engine components, such as forged internal rods, pistons and crank, the 2.0 TFSI® engine takes advantage of significantly higher boost of 17.4 psi, generating 265hp and 258 lb-ft. of torque. Mated to the rapid-fire S tronic® dual-clutch transmission with launch control, 0.2 shift times help the TTS race from 0-60 in a mere 4.9 seconds at a top speed of 155 MPH. It's pure performance in a pure sportscar package.

Powerful 2.0 TFSI® Engine

The Audi 2.0 TFSI® engine in the Audi TTS delivers more than power, it delivers an unforgettable driving experience. The 2.0 TFSI engine features forged internal engine components to support the 17.4 lbs of boost by the larger turbo. The result is an impressive 265hp and 258 lb-ft. of torque leaving you with no shortage of power, regardless if you're passing on the highway or accelerating off the line.
