Car and Driver and Road & Track recently held comparison tests between luxury sedans defined by dramatic wheelbases.  Car and Driver pitted the glamorous Audi A8L FSI Quattro Auto Tiptronic Sedan against the XJL Supercharged and 750Li. Road & Track decreased the odds of winning by adding one more model to the mix: the Equus Signature. The car that emerged victorious: The A8L.

 

You may want to know what won the judges over. To start, the long-wheelbase sedan's tight, unwavering turning capabilities, classic Hollywood aesthetic, functionality, confidence in the face of adverse weather conditions and, of course, road-hugging Quattro. And while, both publications hosted the tests to assess performance, the overall verdict is that the Audi A8L also offers the most comfort.
